The rapid and constant pace of change in technology is creating both opportunities and challenges for schools.
Opportunities include:

  • Widespread availability of mobile computing devices that can access the internet.
  • Expanding the role of social networking tools for learning and professional development
  • Growing interest in the power of digital games for more personalised learning

Technology assists educators to expand beyond linear, text-based learning and to engage students who learn best with mixed methodology. The IT role in schools has evolved from a contained “computer class” into a versatile learning toolkit that could change how we demonstrate concepts, assign projects and assess progress.

iTMaster currently provides turnkey mobile educational solutions and a combination of both desktop, touch technology and software that has the power to change the face of education in Africa. Through the challenges of deployment of solutions in rural areas and the successful continued support with training and our call-center, we have firmly established ourselves in the education sector. iTMaster have been involved in various CSI and education projects nationally. We have invested and developed the perfect structures to be able to support these projects with integrity.

Solutions that are not fully deployed and supported, such as computer centres in townships and the rural areas can turn into “white elephants” that serve no purpose to the communities. Projects and developments that are intended to uplift, can be detrimental to their sponsor’s reputation and if not properly utilised, become a futile exercise and expense on CSI programmes.

We are as passionate as our clients and have ourselves sponsored many roll-outs on our internal CSI programmes. We strive to install the computer centres with a standard beyond excellence, train the educators and learners passionately, and support them without fail via our call centre. This ensures prompt reply to general queries and rapid resolution of technical issues. Going the extra mile, plus attention to detail ensure that the computer centres are fully utilised and have a positive impact on the community.
